Pietro Beretta, 500 Years of History

One ounce of silver to celebrate the historic company from Gardone Val Trompia

A €5 silver coin in Proof quality celebrates the five centuries of activity of Fabbrica d’Armi Pietro Beretta of Gardone Val Trompia, one of the oldest manufacturing companies still operating in the world. Issued by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and struck by the Italian State Mint, the coin was designed by engraver Emanuele Ferretti.

The obverse depicts the historic Beretta factory headquarters, rendered in colour to enhance the building’s volumes and distinguish it from the background of the coin. Along the lower part runs the inscription “GARDONE VAL TROMPIA”, the town in the province of Brescia that has been home to the company since its foundation and remains its geographical and identity reference point.

On the reverse, the official Beretta logo is placed at the centre. A circular decorative motif surrounds it, defining the space around the emblem and balancing its visual weight within the overall composition.
