We turn your passion for art into a career in high-end craftsmanship
The Advanced Training Course for sculptors, engravers and specialists in medallic and numismatic arts offered by SAM – School of Medallic Art.
A tuition-free, three-year programme with limited enrolment that has been training highly skilled professionals since 1907.
Special Projects
The School of Medallic Art combines knowledge with practical experience.
The programme includes participation in special projects commissioned by external organisations, replicating real professional workshop activities.
Notable examples include the equestrian statue of Marcus Aurelius displayed on Rome’s Capitoline Hill, created in 1997 by a team of art foundry specialists and School students; the logo for the Jubilee Year 2000; the Carabinieri monument in Piazza Risorgimento in Rome; and the jewellery set created for the statue of the Holy Child of Ara Coeli, among many other projects.
