Salaria Production Hub
The Salaria facility is our operational heart: the centre where we produce the State’s official publications and institutional printed materials. It is here that we publish the Official Gazette of the Italian Republic and the Collection of Legislative Acts, together with periodicals for the Public Administration, forms for public and private organisations, and legal and artistic publishing series. Our monographs and literary works are published under the prestigious Libreria dello Stato imprint, a hallmark of quality and authority. At the Salaria production hub, we combine tradition and innovation every day to deliver publishing excellence and contribute to the dissemination of Italy’s official information. Nota di stile: per il titolo userei "Salaria Production Hub" anziché "Salaria Plant", perché il testo descrive un polo editoriale e produttivo articolato, non uno stabilimento industriale in senso stretto. Per Foggia e Verrès invece continuerei a usare "Plant".
State Mint
The State Mint is the heart of Italy’s coin production, where circulating and collector coins are created for the Italian Republic, the Republic of San Marino and the Vatican City State. By combining artistic tradition with technological innovation, we produce coins, medals, badges, stamps and seals of the highest quality. Beyond coin production, the Mint is also a centre of creativity and craftsmanship. Medals, sculptures, enamels and artistic castings are brought to life by the expertise of our technicians and the talent of students from the School of the Art of the Medal. Over the years, the Mint has collaborated with internationally renowned artists, transforming each creation into a unique work of art. Security and reliability are at the core of the Mint’s activities. The National Coin Analysis Centre (CNAC) helps combat counterfeiting by examining suspicious coins and supporting national and European authorities. Recognised as a centre of excellence, the Mint’s laboratories also certify Italian producers of investment gold, combining expertise, precision and innovation.
Foggia
The Foggia Plant, our centre of technological excellence, is dedicated to the production of security paper and secure products. Here we manufacture high-quality watermarked paper, paper for official publications, ballot papers and self-adhesive security paper, as well as medical prescription forms, pharmaceutical security labels, security seals, vehicle licence plates and paper for Lotto receipts. Per il tono istituzionale del sito IPZS eviterei una traduzione troppo letterale di “polo tecnologico d’eccellenza” e userei “centre of technological excellence”, che suona più naturale in inglese corporate.Sorto negli anni ’30, lo stabilimento ha attraversato numerose trasformazioni per adattarsi alle esigenze dello Stato e agli standard più avanzati di qualità e sicurezza. Oggi rappresenta un centro all’avanguardia, dotato di sistemi innovativi per il controllo della produzione e la protezione dai tentativi di contraffazione, confermandosi come una realtà affidabile e moderna al servizio dei cittadini.
Verrès
Located in the heart of the Aosta Valley, the Verrès Plant is a centre of manufacturing excellence where coin blanks for the Italian and international mints, as well as vehicle licence plates, are produced. Over the years, we have transformed and modernised the site, turning it into a state-of-the-art facility where technology and sustainability go hand in hand. The plant features environmentally friendly coin-blank coating processes, automated licence plate production lines, and a dedicated laboratory focused on developing innovative solutions for security and anti-counterfeiting protection. The Verrès Plant is more than just a manufacturing facility: it is where tradition, innovation and a commitment to quality come together every day, ensuring secure and reliable products that serve citizens and institutions alike.
