Commemorative Stamp Marking the 80th Anniversary of the Italian Republic Presented to the President
The event on the occasion of the June 2nd celebrations
Rome, 27 May 2026 – This morning, as part of the celebrations marking the 80th Anniversary of the Italian Republic, Michele Sciscioli, Chief Executive Officer of the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato, took part in the presentation to President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella of the commemorative stamp issued to celebrate Republic Day on 2 June.
The event was attended by Adolfo Urso, Minister for Enterprises and Made in Italy; Fausta Bergamotto, Undersecretary of State with responsibility for philately; Matteo Del Fante, Chief Executive Officer of Poste Italiane; and Michele Sciscioli, Chief Executive Officer of the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato.
The commemorative stamp honours the 80 years of the Italian Republic and celebrates a milestone of national significance, highlighting the values, history, and identity of the country through one of the most representative expressions of Italy’s philatelic heritage.
