Three Faiths, One City: the Silver Coin Triptych to Celebrate Rome, City of Encounter and Coexistence

Rome, 19 November 2025 – A special silver three-coin set entitled “The Three Monotheistic Religions Under the Sky of Rome” was unveiled, paying tribute to Christianity, Islam, and Judaism through three €3 coins dedicated to their most representative places of worship: St. Peter’s Basilica, the Great Mosque of Rome, and the Great Synagogue of Rome.

The initiative celebrates dialogue and coexistence among the three faiths, a message also reflected in the inscription engraved on the edge of the coins: “In Abraham, Three Faiths, One Vision.”

Created in collaboration with representatives of Rome’s three religious communities, the project aims to convey a message of peace and fraternity at a time marked by international tensions and conflicts.

Designed by Silvia and Monica Ciucci, the coins were struck at the State Mint’s workshops and form part of the 2025 Numismatic Collection of the Italian Republic.
