Ferrari Makes Its Debut in Italian Numismatics

The Republic’s First €100 Coin and a Silver Three-Coin Set Celebrate the Legend of the Prancing Horse

June 4, 2026 – Ferrari joins the 2026 Numismatic Collection with two coins issued by the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance and produced by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato.

The gold coin represents an unprecedented milestone in Italian numismatics: never before had the Italian Republic issued a coin with a face value of €100. This choice highlights the exceptional nature of the issue and the exclusivity of a brand that has embodied innovation, research, and style worldwide for decades.

Struck in 999.9‰ gold, the coin features on its obverse the Ferrari 499P, winner of the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship.

The collection is complemented by a prestigious three-coin set in 999‰ silver, consisting of three €6 coins dedicated to the Ferrari 499P, F80, and 296 Speciale models. The coins share a refined visual language that highlights the Prancing Horse, the iconic symbol of the Maranello-based manufacturer and a hallmark of Italian design excellence.

The coins are struck at the State Mint’s workshops, further reinforcing the role of the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato in promoting and celebrating Italy’s industrial, cultural, and creative heritage.
